The art group kicked off in January 2023 and comprises seven interested members. Our group is especially welcoming of those who are challenged and prefer not to use machinery. A water colour and acrylic pouring on a lazy susie were the first items created. We meet in the mornings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Come along and do your own thing. We have a great space with lots of different mediums to cover what ever your interest maybe, from sketching, drawing, painting its all here we even have a stained glass facility.
Presently Frank is busy with his pencil sketches. He concentrates on bush landscapes and old farm sheds. Whilst another member Rob is really growing in confidence with his painting skills, also on landscapes but has recently moved across to small pencil portraiture of Mens shedmembers.
Even if your not too sure what your interest is, come on in and simply hangout and enjoy a chat. Itdoesn’t really matter we would be happy to meet and help with any ideas you may have. Its a verysmall group and would really enjoy having a few more faces around. Its not a competitive or judgmental environment. We will endeavour to feed your passion with ideas and materials ifnecessary. We call it the Art group but really its based around creative thinking and can head inany direction you feel. I certainly would not say I have any strengths in the art field but hey! That’swhat it is, mostly I get a real kick out of chatting and the opportunity to make a few new buddies. So, if you feel the desire to give something new a go why not pop your head in and say hello,You will find we are an easy going bunch who just want to have a bit of a laugh and do what comes naturally. There are many preconceived ideas what denotes art! In my opinion its what everyou want it to be! Looking forward to seeing a few new faces around the place.
Cheers
