Coolum Men's Shed Camera Group
Is an enthusiastic group of men keen to improve their photography skills using everything from point and shoot, digital and complex DSLR cameras.
The Group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Coolum Men’s Sheds community building at 12:30pm
The group kicked off the year conducting photo field trips to Buderim Forest Park and First bay at Coolum beach. Members submitted four photographs each for this post.
Photography proved a challenge taking into account shooting in low light, capturing motion in the ocean and composing the scene. Discussions held in house and post editing resulted in a favourable outcome.
Areas of interest covered are:
Activities include Workshops to share information and develop skills to become better photographers. Field Trips are organized to practice skills learnt. Discussions in house cover all aspects of photos taken.
Over the last few months the group have been active in the field photographing various genres. The categories covered were. Patterns in photography, Fast Shutter Speed Photography, and Action Photography
To enable a better understanding for all concerned, problems and difficulties arising during the photo shoots were discussed in house. Various ideas were discussed before and after the photo sessions, enabling the group to achieve favourable outcomes.
